RE: COBRA “Temporary Extension Act of 2010”

Model Notices Posted.

When the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) was amended on March 2, 2010 by the “Temporary Extension Act of 2010”, the Department of Labor had not yet issued new COBRA Model Documents reflecting the extension and the new class of COBRA Assistance Eligible Individuals who experience the second qualifying event of being involuntarily terminated subsequent to having had a reduction of hours. We have confirmed today, however, that the new model notices are now available at the Department of Labor website.
